Conditional Registration Scheme
The Club runs a Conditional Registration System in conjunction with the Roads & Maritime Services which allows conditional registration for historic vehicles over 30 years old being run within the Club environment.
Registration
The Roads & Maritime Services paperwork requires counter-signing by the Mercedes-Benz Club of NSW. This is to verify current financial membership and the authenticity of the vehicle. Paperwork needs completion and payment to the Roads & Maritime Services by the registration due date. The Club requires members to provide a current authorised Pink Slip for the vehicle. The Pink Slip is only valid for 30 days, so registration must be completed within this timeframe.
Operation
It is a requirement of the Roads & Maritime Services that the Certificate of Approved Operations, issued by RMS at registration, be carried in the car at all times.
Membership
Membership MUST be current at ALL times to comply with the Roads & Maritime Services' requirements. If your membership lapses (that is, you become un-financial), is rescinded or renewal is refused, then your car or cars are NOT registered for driving on public roads and you do NOT have compulsory third party insurance.
